Seminars

Many seminars on a wide range of topics and speakers are held daily on and surrounding the Harvard Campus. You can find listings closely related to your work at OEB below. You can also consult the Harvard Events Calendar for detailed listings of all events taking place at the University.

OEB Seminars

This is the official departmental seminar that usually meets in the Bio Labs Main Lecture Hall, on Thursday afternoons at 4:00pm. A reception follows and there is usually an opportunity for students to have lunch with the speaker. The Communications & Events Coordinator will send out a sign up link for those interested in attending. There is also an opportunity for dinner with the speaker, but you must contact the hosting lab to arrange/confirm.

Notices go up on all the bulletin boards and the schedule for the entire year is posted on the OEB Website

Fourth Floor and Friends (MCZ) Seminars

These seminars meet in the lecture room on the 4th floor of the MCZ Labs, near the Pierce and Farrell labs, usually on Friday mornings around 10am. Speakers usually present talks in fields such as ecology, behavior, co-evolution, phylogeny, and development. There is an e-mail mailing list which distributes the schedule and seminar reminders.
